Musical Fidelity were one of the first brands we stocked when we opened our doors for the first time almost thirty years ago. Formed by Anthony Michaelson; a designer and musician, Musical Fidelity have made a whole host of exciting and innovative products.

Musical Fidelity follow the best practice of designing truly high end components, like the Primo pre-amp and then filtering that exciting technology into more affordable products. Musical Fidelity also use valve technology where they feel that will offer the best results for the listener. Many of their designs are hybrids; using valves for sonic performance but placing them in areas of the signal path where they will perform seamlessly and reliably.

Musical Fidelity M3 Series

This series is currently made up of one extremely fine integrated amplifier; the M3i. This compact and sub £1000 amplifier (£995) sounds extraordinarily good and packs a real punch. It offers 75 watts per channel of performance and sounds wonderfully transparent and natural.

Soon an M3i CD player will also be added to the range.

Musical Fidelity M6 Series

The M6 series uses higher quality components and aims considerably higher in terms of performance. The range starts with the M6i 200wpc integrated amp. With balanced and USB inputs the M6i is truly as versatile as it is wonderful sounding. Internally the M6i is actually a separate preamp with two monobloc power amps. The M6i has one huge mains transformer which gives entirely separate outputs for left and right power amps and preamps. Even though the M6i is a one box solution it’s actually a set of discreet monobloc power amps with a separate preamp in one sleek package.

The M6PRE  is a fully balanced preamp from beginning to end. Many preamps claim to be balanced but in fact are single ended preamps with balanced inputs and balanced outputs. Unlike them, the M6PRE is the real deal. Its pure Class A circuitry produces very low distortion, minimal phase shift, low noise and excellent linearity. The low impedance output stages (both single ended and full balanced) will drive any power amp through any conceivable length of cable.
