A good example of our curiosity is our new streaming audio models that take digital audio files from your computer network and let you stream them into any room in your home with breathtaking clarity. Anyone who knows of Cyrus would expect our audio systems to sound special but they may be surprised just how good this new technology can sound. We are excited by the idea of streaming because on one hand streaming is very convenient; on the other hand it has the potential to deliver even better sound quality than CD, and for anyone who has grown up loving music that’s very appealing indeed!
So far the technologies that make streaming possible have been clumsy to use, but now Cyrus has developed an exceptional handset called n-remote that makes streaming as easy as 1,2,3. The n-remote lets you navigate your network music collection, your audio system, internet radio, TV and even your satellite box, all from one innovative handset. To make all this intuitive, hidden behind the easy to use n-remote are many state-of-the-art technologies that we have harnessed to deliver stunning audio.
There are three models to choose from in the range, all based on our new high performance streaming engine and each developed to satisfy different needs. The first model is Stream XP and this is the Gold Standard for audiophile hi-fi systems of the future. Next is Stream X which is based on the XP model but without the preamp so you can add this to an existing audio system that already includes a DAC. The third model is called Streamline. Based on the core Stream XP modules, it includes everything you need with the exception of loudspeakers to provide an extraordinary single box audio system.
Whichever model is right for you, you are buying into the same core values that have made Cyrus famous; upgradeability, long life and of course amazing sound.

The joy of streaming music
Streaming music is very convenient. With modern day storage devices such as NAS drives, your entire CD collection can be stored on one small compact unit and with the Cyrus n-remote you can quickly find the track or album you want, when you want it.
Your music can be stored in several different file formats, but for original CD quality, WAV files are highly recommended. This format provides 1:1 data transfer, so your music remains uncompressed and as good as the original CD source. In future it is likely that artists and record companies will release higher than CD quality downloadable music. Rest assured though that Cyrus streaming music players are already equipped to handle sample rates of 96Khz, so you are well positioned to enjoy this format as it becomes available in the future.
In addition to enjoying all of your music in your network music library, you can also access thousands of internet radio stations via TuneIn radio. Whether your preference is for music, talk, news or sports, you can listen to stations from all over the world.
How easy is it to install your streaming player?
Cyrus approved retailers are trained to install a network for you that will make the connection between your computer and the streaming player. Once this is done all you have to do is to save copies of your music collection in a suitable way. Our website has lots of advice how to get the best from this new format.
All Cyrus solutions will stream your music wirelessly; however we recommend a wired connection if possible as this will provide the best performance, especially when playing uncompressed music. Uncompressed files sound best and you will clearly appreciate the improvement in quality.
If you are a reasonably confident computer user then you should be able to install these units with relative ease. Alternatively, Cyrus retailers are fully trained and are there to help you. They are happy to setup and install your new system, plus assist with any network components you may need for a modest additional charge."
Cyrus Launch 3 models

What we thought was going to be one streamer is actually three. Each uses wired and wireless options.
The first of these is called the Streamline and this is actually a stand-alone system containing a streamer and an amplifier. This allows users to have a high quality Streaming solution for their stored music and internet radio and includes a high quality 30 watt per channel Cyrus amplifier. It has both digital and optical inputs as well as ipod digital. Fixed and variable outputs are also available and my be interesting to anyone who might with to connect this product into a multi-room audio system or to add further power amps.
Streamline costs £1599.

Stream X is a Digital Streamer without an amplifier. It is effectively a Digital Streaming Mechanism with digital output and is designed to be connected either to a DAC or an amp or pre-amp with digital inputs. Again it has digital inputs including digital ipod. It can be wired via ethernet and can also be used wirelessly. Stream X costs £1399.
The range is made complete by Stream XP Cyrus best streamer. This has a high quality built in DAC and can also be enhanced by the addition of a PSX-R power supply unit. The Stream XP will cost £1999.
To clarify the specifications, only the Stream XP is upgradeable with a PSX-R. The reason being is that the power supply only effects the analogue sections of a given product. The Stream X is purely digital, therefore a PSX-R has no benefit. The Streamline is a one box do-it-all product.
The DAC in the Stream XP is superior to the DAC's in the xpd range, but not quite to the standard of the xpdQX module, so if you own a 'QX'd' product, then a digital out form the Stream XP is the way to go. The XP has been designed to work with a power amp as a very, pardon the pun, 'streamlined' system! The ultimate though is a Stream X with a DAC XP/DAC X and PSX-R.
One other thing to bear in mind if you haven't a network at home. You can attach a USB storage device and the Stream products will play your music files from there. But you will obviously not have the internet radio functionality. Having said that we highly recommend using a NAS drive over a wired network for full flexability.
Cyrus are making very bold claims for these products. In fact the performance is the most exciting elemant with above Cyrus bes't CD player performance being claimed.
Moorgate have heard the Streamline and we were extremely impressed. Most notably by the ease of set-up and use (more on the remote to follow) and of course the performance.

N-remote is included with all the streamers. This is a two way device that makes browsing your library (including artwork) simple and gives full control of the streamer. Since the unit is learn-capable it can also work other items in your home. The direct RF link to the streamer means that you only need the remote in your hand to work the Streamer device and this means hiding the streamer away is easy.
We will post more info when we have it but for now here is the specification for each item.
